One of the most common complaints that our clients experience is back pain. As chiropractors, we believe spinal alignment is crucial to overall wellness. If an examination by one of our chiropractors shows that one of our clients has spine bones that are out of alignment, we may perform a chiropractic adjustment. These treatments will involve our chiropractor placing a hand on the client’s back or neck and providing gentle pressure on the soft tissue surrounding the spine.

Back Pain Relief 

The purpose of chiropractic adjustments is to shift the position of the soft tissue to slide the spine back into alignment. One common source of back pain, which also causes leg pain, is sciatica. This condition occurs when the vertebra near the sciatic nerve place pressure on that nerve. Relief from sciatica is typically achieved with a chiropractic adjustment that pushes those bones back to where they belong, away from areas where they can compress the sciatic nerve.  

Spinal Decompression 

Another chiropractic treatment we provide is spinal decompression. When the spine is compressed, whether by trauma or the wear-and-tear of age, the gel-like discs between them can bulge outward and cause pain. Spinal decompression is performed to gently stretch a person’s spine, removing any present compression and opening up space to allow blood to flow to damaged areas, as essential part of the healing process.

Mark, Larry, and Ron Mantueffel were joined by Dr. Mark Wrobel since our opening, with a shared mission of bringing natural solutions to pain and limited mobility.
